Sharpened by the whetstone of improvisation, the founding members set out to make surf rock relevant again by injecting its putrid corpse with liquefied adrenal gland. Bringing his Eastern European cage-fighting skills, Stefan Krstovic funks around percussively, keeping time like orange clockwork, laying the groundwork for a sound that comes from a trio in number only (which we are not). As the driving force behind "The Whale", Nicolas Mirsky has the licks and the logs to lay the lumber with his six-stringed rock rumbler, paying homage to the originators of the surf guitar.
